Vintage Ceiling

We always knew the ceilings in our house were dropped, but we didn’t realize we had a nifty ceiling hidden away.
We see some renos in our future.
Looks like it might be a tin ceiling.

~language of love~
erin-thérèse posted a photo:
My great-great-grandparents Albert Longhurst and Jemima Hamilton are buried under this monument in Ufford Cemetery, Muskoka, Ontario, Canada.
In the language of flowers, the rose is the emblem of love and ivy represents eternity, or ‘forever.’ The ivy entertwines around the joined hands and the rose springs up from their union. I love this monument.

Purple. I think of elegance, sophistication, Victorian accessories, and drama.

The usually so colourful pastel houses of Notting Hill in black and white.
Still fascinating, aren´t they.

St Leonard’s Church dominates Bridgnorth’s skyline as you drive in, but only the tower is visible from the other side of the Severn.
Seemingly medieval, it is almost entirely a Victorian restoration.
Abbey Pumping Station Leicester

Opened in 1891, the Abbey Pumping Station pumped Leicester’s sewage to the treatment works at Beaumont Leys. The grand Victorian building and beautifully decorated beam engines were a cause of great civic pride. When it closed in 1964, the site was preserved because of the four magnificent beam steam engines that were used to pump the sewage. The engines were built in Leicester by Gimson.s and today are rare examples of Woolf compound rotative beam engines. Three of the four engines have been restored back to working condition.
Grade II listed building also known as Museum of Technology.

This one is hard to explain.. Was just sitting having a meal tonight… And the totally natural combination of Yellows (from the outside) and the almost neon Blue (from the sign painted on the glass) worked for me… Don’t expect anyone else will get it.. but this is one of my faves…
